The Electro Swing Project were commissioned to create a bold, bespoke VIP performance for a prestigious charity fundraiser, with the clear objective of delivering an unforgettable opening moment that would immediately set the tone for the entire evening. From the outset, the performance was designed to feel exclusive, high-impact, and completely unexpected — transforming the opening of the event into a statement moment rather than a simple introduction.

Opening the event alongside headline act Dara O’Briain, the band delivered a spectacular flash-mob-style welcome that completely reimagined the guest arrival experience. Rather than a traditional performance setting, the show unfolded around the audience, blurring the lines between performers and guests and creating a powerful sense of immersion from the very first moment.
A five-piece live band ignited the room with a high-energy Electro Swing rework of Uptown Funk, instantly lifting the energy and drawing guests into the rhythm of the evening. Just as the music reached its peak, a surprise cast of 10 dancers, breakdancers, and acrobats burst from the crowd, revealing themselves one by one and building momentum with every beat.
What followed was an explosive surge of synchronised choreography, dynamic formations, and jaw-dropping acrobatic stunts. The performance flowed seamlessly through the space, combining precision dance, street styles, and theatrical flair to create a fully immersive, electrifying opening sequence.
