The room itself began its story in 1929 as an ice rink, famously known as the place where a young Queen Elizabeth II learned to skate. Today, the venue’s original grandeur remains, with sweeping staircases, crystal chandeliers, and an expansive carpeted floor — all echoing its glamorous past while providing a perfect setting for modern-day celebrations.

This particular event brought together over 400 guests for a spectacular fundraising gala. From roaming circus performers to full-stage production, the evening featured dazzling acts, incredible live vocals, and a surprise after-party hosted by the Electro Swing Project band. The blend of immersive entertainment and high-end production created a night that guests are still talking about.

The Great Room offers more than just beauty — it provides technical potential that few venues can match.
Its high ceilings and existing rigging infrastructure make it ideal for aerial performances, such as solo and duo aerial straps, silks, or hoop. With careful coordination, the venue’s crystal chandeliers (there are eight in total) can be selectively removed to allow aerial rigging while still preserving the room’s opulent look.
This flexibility lets us craft immersive theatrical experiences that feel tailored specifically to your event — whether it’s a gala, corporate or private party, or product launch.

The Making of a Grand Showman Night at Grosvenor House
When our productions involve circus performers, dancers, musicians, and full tech teams, timing is everything. We typically arrive onsite at 2:00 PM for a full rehearsal and tech run — with the goal of being completely out of the space by 6:30 PM for guest arrival.
Our Onsite Schedule Includes:

30–40 mins per circus performer for tech checks and safety rehearsals

45 mins for dancers to space and rehearse

1 hour for musicians and vocalists to conduct soundcheck

30 mins to run the full show for lighting, video, and AV teams

45 mins buffer to troubleshoot and resolve any unexpected issues
This detailed process ensures the evening flows smoothly and safely from beginning to end.

Essential Requirements for a Flawless Show Experience
To ensure a seamless performance, there are a few practical needs to be aware of:

A private green room exclusively for performers

Climate control in the green room (air conditioning or heating depending on season)

Hot meal served to the cast post-show

Full green room rider available on arrival by 1:30 PM (tea/coffee station, light snacks, water)

A large mirror with lighting for makeup and costume prep — ideally in a space hidden from guest view to preserve the element of surprise
